Soldering Workshop for Young Creators

Students will dive into the art of soldering and learn to build their own working circuits from scratch — and the best part? They take their creation home! This 3.5-hour hands-on workshop is designed for curious young learners ready to explore the world of electronics and making.

  • Date: May 9, 2025
  • Time: 10 am - 1:30 pm (snacks will be provided)
  • Location: PopSmart Academy, Sammamish Center (22717 SE 29th St, D-200, Sammamish, WA 98075)
  • Registration fee: $110
  • Who Can Participate: Open to students Grade 5 and above
  • Students do not need to bring anything; we will provide all the materials
  • Students will take home a finished electronics gadget

What is special about this championship?

To ensure every young maker has the support they need, we will have experienced instructors and floating mentors available throughout the entire 3.5-hour workshop. Our mentors will guide students hands-on through every step of the soldering process — from safety fundamentals to building and completing their very own working circuit. No prior experience is needed! Our goal is to make sure every student feels confident, supported, and proud of what they create. And the best part? Every student takes their finished circuit home as a reminder of what they built with their own hands.

Join us for the Future Leaders Debate Championship, where sharp minds and confident voices take the stage. This one-day event is perfect for students eager to strengthen their public speaking and critical thinking skills in a dynamic and encouraging environment.

    • Grade 1-5: 9 am - 12 pm, followed by award ceremony
    • Grade 6-10: 1 pm - 4 pm, followed by award ceremony

What is special about this championship?

To ensure all participants have the guidance they need, we will have floating mentors available throughout the event. These experienced mentors will assist students in refining their arguments, answering questions, and offering helpful tips as they prepare for each round of the competition. Our goal is to provide every participant with the support they need to perform their best! We'll be sending the topics a day in advance to give students some time to prepare and practice.
